Testimonial from Student

Why not Ireland?

When exploring where to finish your undergraduate degree, why not choose Ireland!? The people are good ‘craic’, the scenery is beautiful and the opportunities for travel and adventure are endless!

Waterford IT provides an excellent learning environment for all students. The international office helps to make the transition from Canada to Ireland seamless and easy. They are always planning events and creating fun ways to help integrate all international students.

Not only is the international office planning events, but the clubs and societies at WIT are constantly recruiting like- minded individuals for weekend getaways and daily activities. Whether you are into kayaking, swimming or football (soccer), you are sure to meet people from all over and make friends that will last a lifetime.

Waterford itself is located in the sunny south east, which is close to amazing beaches, rocky cliffs, classic Irish scenery (sheep and cows) and surfing on the coastline.

Finishing my undergraduate degree at WIT has opened numerous doors, one of which had me working for a marketing company in Ireland. If you are looking for an opportunity to see Europe, meet people from around the world and finish off your schooling…look no further!

My top 5 favourite memories while in Ireland…

  1. Meeting people from across the globe, making connections that will last a lifetime
  2. Getting involved with Education Ireland as an International Ambassador and having the opportunity to meet the Education ministry and the Irish President, Michael D. Higgins.
  3. Exploring Irelands beautiful countryside and taking weekend getaways all over Europe.
  4. Playing pick-up soccer almost daily with people from all over the world
  5. Partaking in the numerous International Society events and activities.
