The Munster Technological University (MTU) is a public technological university consisting of six campuses located in both Cork and Kerry. The university was established in January 2021, the result of a merger between two institutes of technology, the Cork Institute of Technology and the Institute of Technology, Tralee. It accommodates more than 18,000 students and over 2,000 members of staff.

MTU has been at the forefront of learning since its establishment and has gained a reputation as a centre of distinction for teaching, learning and research. The Institute offers a range of full-time and part-time programs ranging from certificate through to honours degree and post-graduate Masters and Doctoral level. Enhancing the taught programs at the Institute is a world class program of research.
