King’s College Founded in 1495, the University of Aberdeen is Scotland’s third oldest university and the fifth oldest in the UK.

Teaching and research is primarily based at our Old Aberdeen and Foresterhill campuses. Arts, Social Sciences, Physical Sciences and the main University library are located in Old Aberdeen. The majority of Life Sciences and Medicine is based at Foresterhill.

The University of Aberdeen has climbed into the Top 20 in the UK according to the Guardian University Guide 2021, and in the top 180 universities in the world (Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2021)

University of Aberdeen has a community of more than 130 nationalities, with 15,000 students, including Five Nobel Laureates associated with the University of Aberdeen. The University has developed Global international networks with a campus in Qatar, Alliance with Curtin University and Partnerships in Sri Lanka
