RMIT’s Master of Teaching Practice (Primary Education) will allow you to develop a deep understanding of how students learn and the practical skills you need to become a teacher.
This program is designed for those with an undergraduate degree who wish to teach in primary schools.

Applicants must have successfully completed an Australian Bachelor degree (or equivalent overseas qualification) in any discipline which includes a major in a specialist area and a sub-major in a second specialist area with a minimum of 65% average or a GPA 2.5 (out of 4.00).
You must satisfactorily complete the RMIT Teaching Suitability Assessment. The assessment is designed to evaluate your non-academic attributes that are important for the teaching profession.
The Master of Teaching Practice (Primary Education) at RMIT is subject to accreditation by the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) for registration purposes. It is well recognized throughout Australia, although graduates will have to check with the individual registration authorities in other states and territories.
Graduates of RMIT’s Primary teacher training program are eligible to apply for licensing in Canada, however, it is critical students understand the requirements needed to complete this process before licensing will be granted.
